10 amTurn Trousers into Shirts!
Workshop by the Kunst VHS – Who’s Wearing the Pants?
If we drive our arms into the trouser legs, we have sleeves and part of the back is covered. The rest of our shirt is sewn on from other parts of our trousers.
Course instructor: Nabila Irshaid studied Visual Communication at the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg. In 2019, she realised ‘Jeanskamel – Space for Community Based Art’ in Hernals. Numerous exhibition participations and workshops.
After the workshop, there will be an opportunity to visit the exhibition Who’s Wearing the Pants? accompanied by a cultural mediator from the museum. Whether precisely pressed or in a casual baggy look – they are a global phenomenon and seemingly familiar to us all. They are a symbol of cultural and social identity and the material for fashion statements: trousers.
