On the way to school, a girl meets a camel!
‘Where are you going?’ asks the camel.
‘I'm going to school,’ the girl replies, ’and you?’
‘I'm...’, the camel ponders, it had no plans for the day. ‘I'm going to discover our world...!’
And so the camel heads off into an eventful day. At the bazaar, he meets jugglers who give him a red ribbon as a parting gift. High up on the mountain, he sees and feels snow for the first time. Fortunately, a mountain guide provides him with fine knee-high socks and a warm green knit cap. At the big picnic on the green pasture, among the sheep and goats, the hospitable family gives him a full yellow hiking rucksack. And at the river, a small child gives him a swimming tyre – just to be on the safe side...
When the girl returns home from school in the early evening, she doesn't recognise the camel at first, as colourful as it is now standing in front of her.
They make themselves comfortable at the crossing and the camel tells her about his adventures. They snack on delicious dates and nuts from the yellow hiking rucksack.
‘I want to get to know this world too!’ says the girl and they decide to go on a journey of discovery together the next morning!
