Workshop for kids (3 - 6 years)
What do you think of when you hear the word "plastic"? Probably terms like "rubbish" and "pollution" come to mind. George Nuku, the artist of our exhibition Oceans. Collections. Reflections, has created a sky out of plastic bottles for us. Isn't it wonderful how the light is reflected in it? George comes from Aotearoa (New Zealand), which is known for its beautiful nature, its mountains, waterfalls, rivers and also for greenstone. Greenstone is particularly valuable among Māori, they call it pounamu. It stands for special beauty and for everything that is sacred and special. George calls plastic pounamu pounamu - why do you think?
