Exact name of this type: Pha-Sin Tin Cok Tab Klay. Worn by Lao Khrang women in western Thailand when attending ceremonies in Buddhist temples or celebrations such as weddings or receiving guests at home. Very stylized naga and bird motifs and floral patterns on the top (silk) and a red cotton border at the bottom. Weavings of this type are intended to demonstrate the technical weaving skills of the female family members.
