Laughing Buddha
Standort
Particularly in the 19th century, many Chinese migrate to Indonesia to make money. They are called peranakan (“child of the land”). Cultural exchange with the local population in Indonesia leads to a distinct peranakan culture, which for the most part is more colourful than the culture of their Chinese ancestors.
